Louisville, Ky. - The University of Louisville football team will open their second season under head coach Steve Kragthorpe when the Cardinals begin fall practice on Tuesday, August 5 at the Howard Schnellenberger Football Complex.

The Cardinals will hold three open practices to the fans on August 5-7 before closing practices in preparations for the August 31 home opener versus Kentucky on ESPN at 3:30 p.m. Practice times are yet to be determined.

Louisville's annual Fan Day is also scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 9 from 9-10 a.m. at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium.

The Louisville football team, football head coach Steve Kragthorpe, along with the Louisville cheerleaders and the Cardinal bird will be available for autographs. Posters and schedule cards will be provided at no charge.

The event is free of charge.
